Acai Berry - #1 Super Food

Posted by PerseveringOne on April 1st, 2008

The acai berry (ah-SIGN-ee) is a purple fruit less than an inch in diameter that grows at the top of the acai palm tree deep in Amazon rainforests miles from civilization. For thousands of years the indigenous people of South America have know about the acai fruit and medicine men have used it in their potions to cure various ailments. Within the last several years scientists have discovered the secrets that the South American’s have known for years. What they knew we have found out. Dr. Perricone and others have been guests on Oprah, Matt Lauer, and Fox News touting the benefits of consuming this “#1 Super Food”. The acai berry has the highest ORAC value of any fruit known to man. The raw fruit is a regular part of the diet of the people of Brazil but it has a medicinal taste. The amino acids, omega-3, 6 and 9’s and several other vitamins, minerals and compounds provide life enhancement beyond belief. As a matter of fact the Amazon people have called this palm tree their “tree of life” or in French language “tree of” or “mona” and “life” or “vie”. One company has taken the acai berry and blended it with 18 others into a wonderfully delicious fruity blend that is great to taste and great for you. The very scientists that discovered the healing potential of this fruit juice have now jumped on the band wagon to bring it to the world. To learn more about attaining Better Health Physically and Financially when you drink this fruity blend contact axis.mundi@sbcglobal.net

The price paid …

Posted by PerseveringOne on November 20th, 2007

I just came back from a seminar on leadership. The couple talked about being a good leader and how good leaders improve the lives of others.

Dave talked about thinking. He said: “Thinking is the most important way to improve yourself.” Read, listen, observe, then ask how can I improve myself using what I’ve just learned. What are my reasons for doing what I’m doing? What results am I getting?

Tina asked an interesting question. “What are your bookshelves filled with?” Is my shelf filled with - brand new - never read - books on leadership OR is it filled with worn books filled with notes made by a thoughtful reader? Have I paid the price to become a good leader and am I doing all that I can to improve the lives of others?

Think about it!

Posted by PerseveringOne on November 20th, 2007

“Now the undertaking being a success, the honor is all yours; for I believe none of us went farther? I suppose it will be safer if I leave Gen. Grant and yourself to decide.”

Abraham Lincoln (12/26/1864)

Launching a Leadership Revolution is #1 Business Book on Wall Street Journal Best Books (11/9/07)

Posted by PerseveringOne on November 20th, 2007

I’ve read the book that is being published by Time Warner books, one of the largest and most prestigous publishers in the world. It is thought provoking and realistic. Order your copy now. It is destine to be a best seller.

Launching a Leadership Revolution is a book that I recommend that all Leaders read. Whether you are the owner of a company, work for a company or if you are self-employeed, you will benefit from the book. It is meant for all who have individual or organizational goals and need help developing the infrastructure to achieve an end that is mutually beneficial to all involved.

Bruce L Oliver

I want to congratulate Orrin and Chris for the success of their book, on Nov. 7th, Launching a Leadership Revolution. LLR hit #7 for all Non-Fiction and #1 for all Business hardcover books on the Wall Street Journal Best Seller list.

On Orrins’ site he states “This is a tribute to all the hard working leaders who have each one reached one the book into another leader’s hands. How many more leaders can we reach? Every person we reach is a win for you (Influence), win for them (Leadership), and win for charities (All Royalties), and win for community (Credibility). ”

LEADERS FOLLOWING LEADERS? …

Posted by PerseveringOne on November 20th, 2007

One of my favorite books is “Lincoln on Leadership” by Donald T. Philips (I need to read it again) but I just got the new book “Lincoln’s Rise to the Presidency” by William C. Harris that I want to read next (as well as the last monthly book). Lincoln is my inspiration, he persevered when most would have quit. LOOSERS quit when they FAIL while WINNERS fail until they SUCCEED!!!

Currently I’m studying the concepts outlined by Orrin and Chris in their book: “Launching the Leadership Revolution”. I believe that I need to know it inside and out.

When I said that we were building a community of one million leaders someone responded to me recently and said “Everyone can’t be a leader”. They don’t understand that the best leaders know when to follow or give up position to another leader. It’s not about being in charge, it’s about getting the job done. Real leaders influence the outcome even when they don’t have the positional leadership title. What do you think?

CALLING ALL LEADERS…

Posted by PerseveringOne on November 20th, 2007

Have you ever asked yourself: “What can I do? I’m not happy with things as they are but what can I do?” Well, we are looking for people who are asking themselves those questions. There is something that you can do. Every great event started with one person.

Have you ever gone to a ball game and seen the wave move through a crowd wondering how it started? I experienced this phenomena a couple of weeks ago. A young woman in line asked if people around her wanted to start the wave. Some shrugged their shoulders and others expressed embarrasment that she was interested in getting it started. So with the help of a couple of people around her she said 1, 2, 3 and they threw up their hands shouting “Whoo”. After ten to twelve failures, she managed to succeed sending the wave around the corner over 1,000 feet from us. Several minutes later it came around the corner back to us. If she would have quit after one or two attempts, she would have failed. But, she continued to fail until she SUCCEEDED!

This is a simplistic but very effective way to demonstrate that LOOSERS QUIT when they fail & WINNERS FAIL until they SUCCEED! If she listened to the naysayers who originally showed their reluctance to get things started, she would have failed. But she kept trying until we all saw the dramatic results. Posted by PerseveringOne on November 20th, 2007

Each of us are called upon to be leaders at different times in our lives, whether at home, at church, in our communities, at work, or in a business. I belong to TEAM, a leadership development service provider that is designed to help individuals learn leadership principles, grow in their personal leadership abilities, and develop other leaders. Our TEAM is not affiliated with any particular company, business, opportunity or enterprise.

Our mission is to develop a community of one million leaders who will have influence in events over the next 20 years. We hope to take advantage of the benefits of economies of scale, geographic efficiencies, and shared best practice.
